Which humidity does the HRV sensor monitor, indoor or outdoor?
The hygrometric sensors in Helty’s HRV systems are designed to monitor indoor humidity, allowing the machine to automatically adjust the airflow rate in each individual room.
The hygrometer in Helty’s HRV units is designed and engineered specifically for the home and enclosed spaces, so it only monitors indoor parameters. In the versions with this type of sensor, the regulation of the air flow rate is automatic and is based on the indoor relative humidity: the HRV unit acts by exchanging and filtering the air, constantly maintaining the values in the optimal comfort levels.
If the hygrometer detects a humidity level above 65%, the ventilation is automatically modified to optimise the HRV’s contribution to reducing humidity.
A check is also made of the temperature of the indoor and outdoor environment to prevent the introduction of even more humid air. If the function is activated, the set speed LEDs flash.
